If you’re struggling with what to bring on a summer vacation, think “light.” The last thing you want to do is overload your suitcase with a bunch of clothing that won’t see the light of day once you arrive at your destination.
Heading to a tropical paradise? Pack a couple of portable, easily wearable dresses like this one. They’ll pack nicely, and you won’t have to scramble through suitcases trying to find something to wear.
Don’t bring every pair of shoes from your closet. At the most, you should only bring three pairs of shoes; flip-flops, sneakers, and a pair of kitten heels or pumps for the evening.
Even if it’s 86 degrees, you’ll probably want to bring along a lightweight sweater just in case. A sweater like this one offers you both protection from the elements and versatility; you can throw it on over a pair of capris or skirt, or wear with jeans for a casual look.
A pair of sunglasses is an absolute must, and should really be one of the few accessories you bring.
While you should leave the majority of your accessories at home, don’t forget to bring a wide-brimmed hat.
Don’t let choosing what to wear on a vacation turn into a major ordeal; with these time and space-saving tips, you’ll look fantastic without having to lug around 8 suitcases on your trip.
