For years, the famed fashion cities have attracted people from all over the world and the buzz was even greater than ever this year. New York city also attracted many people for the Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2011. Many people participated in this fashion week, from great designers, hairstylists, make-artists, buyers to glamorous supermodels.

Designers from across the world unveiled their latest creations in New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. This gala event featured some of the greatest designers and their latest looks for the coming Spring season. I have listed here some of the designers who showcased their creations in New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011.

Michael Kors

Michael Kors is a world famous American fashion designer who is best known for designing classic American sportswear for women. He began his career in fashion at the age of 19, designing as well as merchandising a collection for a very famous boutique Lothar’s in New York. Kors is the embodiment of classic American designer clothing. In New York Fashion Week S/S 2011, Michael Kors displayed his latest stunning collection for spring. The theme for his show was the Here Comes the Sun. In the palette of whites, sands and beiges, with pops of canary yellow and verdant green, his collection was less slickness and artifice. His key pieces included the tightly ruffled skirts in green and violet color, a sleeveless trench, the cut slacks and a khaki shirtdress-cum-trenchcoat, etc.

The attendees of New York Fashion Week were limited to industry, celebrities, press, fashion designers, fashion models, fashion people and the like.

Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss is a famous American Model as well as ballet dancer. She was discovered at the age of 13 at a charity fashion show in St. Luis. One of her teachers in Webmaster Groves Elementary inspired and encouraged her to become a model. In her modeling career, she has walked for several famous fashion designers in London, Paris, New York, Milan including Karl Lagerfeld, Zac Posen, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Givenchy, Versace and Valentino. She has been in advertisements for Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Nina Ricci, Lacoste, Gap, Sportmax, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior, Sonia Rykiel, Lord & Taylor, Topshop and American Eagle. In Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, she continued to be the face of Dior. She also has participated in New York Fashion Week S/S 2011.

Spring/Summer beauty is all about flawless bases, baring simplistic and being bold on eyes and lips with technicolor explosions. Striking eyes is one of the beauty trend New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. At the Ruffian S/S 2011 show, most of the models were in Gold eye makeup which has always been popular choice on the Spring/Summer runways.

In this fashion week, the founder and the creative director of NARS cosmetics, Francois Nars, created the deep matte lips and glossy green eyes at Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer show 2011. The look of the models was very reminiscent of Angelica Houston in the 70s with deep eyes and bleached brows.

The tiny as well as modest corners of eyes have been being given a chance to shine over the course of New York Fashion Week. This year, many make-up artists choose this trend to highlight the most favorite area of the face. It was used to show that the beauty of a look can often be found in a minutiae. It's an easily adaptable trend which can be created alongside a smoky eye for the party season.

Known as one of the most frenetic cities on the earth, New York celebrated the seven days of Spring-Summer Fashion Week 2011.

New York Fashion Week is the first season, followed by London, Milan and Paris, that sets the style agenda for the upcoming year. This year, New York Fashion Week welcomed fashionistas with a variety of parties around town, celebrating young fashion designers, gorgeous models, and all fashion related people.

The New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 has seen spectacular shows from the fashion elite such as Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, and Diane von Furstenberg, and the fashion industry's rising stars. Those successful establishments during New York Fashion Week became the hot spots in New York for the upcoming season. To celebrate their success in fashion industry, many fashionistas arranged parties including Naomi Campbell's Blackout Party which was given to celebrate her incredible 25th anniversary in the fashion industry. The another one party was given for Purple Magazine which was hosted by the rooftop bar Le Bain.
