London Fashion Week Designers- KaneLondon Fashion Week is one of the most important, crucial and above all influential occasions on the global fashion calendar. Countless designers, buyers, editors, writers, marketers, models, celebrities and stylists from the all corners of the globe come to attend this publicity garnering week.

Any fashion week is a great opportunity for the designers to showcase their creative masterpieces. London Fashion Week 2011 was the same opportunity for many designers which gave a platform to new designers as well as established ones to prove themselves in the fashion industry. In this fashion week, many designers from all levels of the fashion hierarchy showcased their latest collections.

Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane is a renowned Scottish fashion designer. His designs reflect innovations when he fuses color, fabric and prints. Christopher Kane is famous for seasonal about-turns and offbeat references. His influential and creative collections from Paris Fashion Week S/S 2011 lead to a buzz of expectation and hype and deservedly so. His collection for Spring 2011 was a vibrant and superb.

This season, he showcased a new Princess Margaret-inspired look. The colors from his collection were an explosion of fluorescent brights and bolds such as neon green, pink and orange. Layering color on the top of more color, he created a vivid neon acid toned catwalk collection. He also presented modern, creative prints with traditional embroidery.

Caroline Charles

Caroline Charles is one of the London's most respected women wear designers. She is well-known for her chic and sophisticated designs. She has developed her business over the past four decades. In Paris Fashion Week 2011, she showcased 1950s/1960s glamor for upcoming spring. Her collection featured skiny waist belts, bright floral prints and long gloves. The skirt suits presented by Caroline Charles for upcoming season were slightly reminiscent of Chanel, very chic and prim. Her models seemed to be having fun on the runway. Her collection was a grown up glamor with some pops of color as well as a sleek silhouette.

David Koma

David Koma is a Georgian born  young fashion designer. He is a recipient of the British Fashion Council's NEWGEN scheme. His work is worn by Megan Fox, Kylie, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Cheryl Cole and Lady Gaga. David Koma's Spring/Summer 2011 show embraced the London Fashion Week with the emphasis on pretty and feminine. His collections have embodied a confident, powerful woman through sculptural and heavily embellished designs. Forming a tougher look, he styled up the dresses with mesh detail and leather ruffles, adding a touch of grunge to the glamor. The shapes of dresses featured cut-out details with low rise backs and low necklines. His collection was inspired by the memories of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and  The Mariinsky Theatre of Saint Petersburg.

These are very talented and increasingly influential designers who showcased their latest designs in London Fashion Week 2011 for the upcoming Spring/Summer.
