New York Fashion Week Models - Karlie KlossIt was that time of the year again. Can you guess what it was? Christmas.....?? No, it was not Christmas, but it was equally exciting. It was none other than New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011. The attendees of New York Fashion Week were limited to industry, celebrities, press, fashion designers, fashion models, fashion people and the like.

Once again top fashion models of the world walked the runway of New York Fashion Week this year. They presented the creations of famous fashion designers for upcoming spring season. I have listed here some of the models on the catwalk of New York Fashion Week S/S'11.

Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss is a famous American Model as well as ballet dancer. She was discovered at the age of 13 at a charity fashion show in St. Luis. One of her teachers in Webmaster Groves Elementary inspired and encouraged her to become a model. In her modeling career, she has walked for several famous fashion designers in London, Paris, New York, Milan including Karl Lagerfeld, Zac Posen, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Givenchy, Versace and Valentino. She has been in advertisements for Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Nina Ricci, Lacoste, Gap, Sportmax, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior, Sonia Rykiel, Lord & Taylor, Topshop and American Eagle. In Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, she continued to be the face of Dior. She also has participated in New York Fashion Week S/S 2011.

Liu Wen

Liu Wen is one of the China's brightest fashion star and a renowned Chinese fashion model. Establishing the career with the Chinese editions of famous magazines, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, Chinese beauty Liu Wen broke onto the international stage in Paris on the Spring 2008 runways of Jean Paul Gaultier and Chanel. In 2009, she enjoyed a breakthrough into the world of professional modeling, when she was signed to a series of top-flight campaigns for the like of Alexander Wang, DKNY and Ckone. Since then, she has become a fixture on the runways of Milan, New York and Paris. After making the history of the first East Asian Woman to participate in Victoria's Secret Fashion Week in 2009, Liu Wen also walked over 70 shows during the Ready-to-Wear Spring 2010. In New York Fashion Week S/S 2011, she opened the spring Alexandre Herchcovitch show. In this fashion week, she presented the creations of designers like Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors.

Nicole Trunfio

Nicole Trunfio is an Australian supermodel from a small country town in Western Australia, Merredin. She was the winner of Australian version of the television series “Search for a Supermodel” and stood second in the international version. In her career, she has done modeling for many great Australian as well as international designers including Dolce and Gabanna, Christian Dior, Chanel, Versace, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Fendi, Gucci, Missoni, Victoria's Secret and Vivienne Westwood. In the second season of the American version of “Make Me a Supermodel”, Trufio served as a mentor for the female models. Supermodel Nicole Trunfio also participated in New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 and walked for Michael Angel fashion shoe.

These fashion models have already accomplished more in a very short time than most models will in a lifetime.
